Neighboring-harbor Industrial Complex covers an area of 14.7 square kilometers and it is one of the important aspects of “four bases and one center” principle set by CPC committee and municipal government of Rushan City, which includes neighboring-harbor industrial base, power industrial base, agricultural base with characteristics, holiday resort and international exhibition center. Now, Rushankou Harbor boasts a 500-ton level and 1000-ton level wharf respectively, with an annual handling capacity of 300,000 tons. The total investment for the enlargement of the port will amount to 5 billion yuan, which include 4 20,000-ton level scattered goods berth wharfs, 4 10,000-ton level container berth wharfs, 2 10,000-ton level oil berth wharfs, one logistics center, one neighboring-harbor industrial complex and other coordinating facilities. With the completion of the enlargement of the project, the annual handling capacity will reach up to 20 million tons.
The whole project will be in three phases. The first phase, with an investment of 350 million yuan, will have an annual handling capacity of 1.8 million tons. Until now, the master plan for the industrial complex has already been completed and the project for clearing up the harbor has started, with a total investment of 100 million yuan. |
